Books & Codexes
Longer explorations and gentle companions for experiences such as anxiety, hidden exhaustion, identity, mental health and spiritual wholeness.
About Oya Omore
I write for the parts of us that have been misunderstood, labelled, exhausted, silenced, or asked to become smaller in order to belong.
Through books, spoken blessings and reflective work, I create spaces where people can meet themselves with greater compassion—and remember the wholeness that existed before the world told them who they should be.
My Story
My work was born from a long relationship with questions that could not be answered by labels alone: What does it mean to be well in an unwell world? What happens to the soul when every human experience is reduced to a symptom? And how do we return to ourselves after years of believing that we are the problem?
I began writing not because I had all the answers, but because words gave shape to experiences that had previously felt impossible to explain.
I do not write to tell people who they are. I write to create enough space for them to remember.
My books sit where psychology, spirituality, poetry and lived experience meet. They do not reject the reality of suffering, nor do they reduce a person to what they have survived. They make room for complexity—for medicine and meaning, symptoms and soul, vulnerability and wisdom to exist in the same conversation.
Everything I create begins with the belief that people deserve to feel seen as whole human beings.
The Work
My work moves through three connected forms. Each one offers a different doorway into reflection, clarity and remembrance.
01 — Books
Longer explorations and gentle companions for experiences such as anxiety, hidden exhaustion, identity, mental health and spiritual wholeness.
02 — Voice
Spoken words created to help quiet the mind, reconnect with the body and offer a moment of calm, clarity or spiritual nourishment.
03 — Writing
Poems, reflections and living fragments gathered from the spaces between healing, spirit, memory and everyday life.
A Note from Oya
I know what it is to search for language that can hold the fullness of an experience—and to discover that the language offered by the world is sometimes too small.
My hope is that when you encounter my work, you feel less alone. Not because every question has been answered, but because something in you has been recognised.
Welcome into the Field. May you find what your soul is ready to remember.
